‘La que se avecina’ to have a Portuguese remake

Produced by SeeMyDreams, the portuguese adaptation of the comedy series will be soon released in Prime Video and TVI.

Portugal will have its own Mirador de Montepinar, renamed as Terraços do Glamour in the adaptation of ‘La que se avecina’ in this country. The series, whose adaptation rights have been sold by Mediterráneo Mediaset España Group, will be produced by See My Dreams and will soon premiere in this country on TVI and Prime Video streaming platform.

The adaptation, which has yet to have a definitive title, will tell the story of the daily life of a community of neighbors in a condominium on the outskirts of Lisbon. Taking advantage of the difficulties in the Portuguese housing market, the developer promised the new owners features that the condominium did not have, leaving them to deal with defective apartments, intercoms that don’t work, and walls so thin that privacy is an illusion.

Portuguese will be the third international remake of the series, following its adaptations in Italy (Canale 5) and Greece (Skai TV). Created by Alberto and Laura Caballero and Daniel Deorador and produced by Mediaset España in collaboration with Contubernio Films, the original Spanish version is one of the longest-running and most successful series in the history of television in Spain.

The remake of ‘La que se avecina’ in Portugal will feature renowned Portuguese actors such as Diogo Morgado, who played Jesus Christ in the popular History Channel series ‘La Biblia’ and in the film ‘Hijo de Dios’; Alexandra Lencastre, Tiago Teotónio Pereira, Bárbara França, Miguel Raposo, Miguel Guilherme, Fernando Pires, Diogo Valsassina, and Margarida Bakker. Shooting to begin in the next few weeks.
