The Truth, one of Telecinco’s bets for this season, included in The Wit List of 2016 Mipcom, has gathered a huge audience success.
Originated by the same creators of “El Principe”, this series is a domestic noir inspired a variety of real stories that tries to explore the psychology of a family living in the edge. “The Truth” is a thriller series that relates the love story between a policeman and an enigmatic young girl, and the mystery of a journalist investigation which is trying to discover the truth.
The story starts when eight years after the weird disappearance of a child named Paula, she reappears as a young an enigmatic teenager. Marcos Eguía, a young and ambitious policeman will be the one in charge of investigating this success, due to the girl’s relate is full of unknowns that turns the veracity into a doubt. Nobody is sure of Paula being who she is telling to be; despite of her parents, due to the sufferings they have lived during her absence. Lalo is the most sceptics about this matter; he is a veteran journalist that covered the disappearance notice, and now is making pressure assuring that if the family has welcomed the girl without making any questions is because they are hiding something.
