About women and with women: this is Madres, MEDITERRÁNEO’s new fiction has ended its shooting with the collaboration with the producer Alea Media. It’s a story with a very high dramatic potential that explores the feminine universe in a critical moment for any woman who is a mother: their child’s illness. Long-term inmates in a hospital; strong and at the same time vulnerable characters played by Belén Rueda, Aída Folch, Rosario Pardo, Carmen Ruiz, and Carla Díaz.
The absolute protagonists are women. It’s our moment to bet for the feminine power, not only from a perspective of the starring actresses but also in the technical and creative team: scriptwriters, directors, photographers… The showrunners Aitor Gabilondo (Unauthorized Living and El Princpe) and Joan Barbero (Unauthorized Living and El Princpe) new from the first minute this new fiction was going to revolve around women in every respect.
Madres is a different medical series, a story about life and the emotions involved in the fight the mothers have to go through to take their children forward. The path won’t be easy, they will have to face the day-a-day livings in a hospital but also their jobs, familiar and sentimental situations, they will fall down and would like to give up, but they will stand up and smile to the world, even when their strength will be vanishing.
