The communication group has signed agreements with the main platforms such as Netflix, HBO and Amazon Prime Video Spain
Between the first and second trimester of 2020, Mediterráneo Mediaset España Group has increased its sales with the main audio-visual platforms by 50%. The group consolidates its position in the market with a leading audio-visual catalog in the national sphere.
Among the agreements, it is important to highlight the presence in Amazon Prime Video Spain of successful series, such as ‘The Countryside’ and ‘La que se avecina’, whose new chapters can be enjoyed exclusively on the platform. In addition, the distributor will also collaborate with Jeff Bezos’s group in the exclusive production of two docuseries: ‘La vida al plato’ and ‘La familia del baloncesto español’.
Another series that is well received by the audience is ‘Unauthorized living’, positioned in the Top Ten of the most watched content on Netflix. Moreover, Mediterráneo Mediaset España Group has produced Patria, in collaboration with Alea Media, a series based on the successful novel by Fernando Aramburu that will soon be available on HBO.
The OTT service companies Movistar +, Vodafone, Viacom / CBS, Orange, Euskaltel, Direct TV and América Móvil, among others, have also signed agreements with the distributor.
2020 has been a period of strong expansion for Mediterráneo. With the slogan Always stronger, free and independent, the group plans to quintuplicate its sales in the first half of this year in relation with the previous year, reinforcing its privileged position in the audio-visual market once again.
